I hope we get behind our team and do our talking on the pitch. We've moved on to bigger and better things. Appreciate the job he did but honestly couldn't care about him now.
It will be interesting to see just how much of a pantomime is played out. Seems like a lot of people just can't let go.

I'm all in favour of giving Allardyce some serious grief when he arrives at UP.
I understand the argument that he got us back up after the Avram Grant debacle and finished mid table thereafter, which many people consider to be 'consolidating' our position in the league.
But it's nonsense. he had by far the largest wage bill in the Championship and didn't even make the automatic places.
He played a brand of football that sucked all the joy out of watching our club. By setting us up to defend and grind out a draw he showed no respect for us or our club traditions. Famously he mocked the 'West Ham way',which is like mocking Bobby Moore as far as I'm concerned.
Attractive flowing football isn't optional for West Ham, it's what we do.
The nadir for me wasn't the humiliation against Forest in the Cup but the abject way he handled the away game at City on the last day of the season in 2014.
To remind you, the Premier League title was on a knife edge, with City and Liverpool having taken it to the last game of the season. By that time we were safe so we went to the Etihad with no pressure at all. If ever there was a day to throw three strikers on and attack it was that one. The whole country was hoping we would get an early goal and set up a thrilling showdown to the season- and who cares if we lose 3-0 or 4-0, it made no difference to our season.
But Allardyce set out his team the way he always does - everybody behind the ball, lone striker up top on his own, 30 yards away from the nearest team mate, Hail Mary balls hoofed up towards him whenever possible. he made it so easy for City. They had won before the ball was kicked.
He let everybody down that day,not just us but the whole country and everybody who follows football around the world. He doesn't seem to understand what the game is for.
He was a curse on our club with his negative, dinosaur tactics. We don't need managers like him in the beautiful game - so give him hell when he turns up to darken our doors again.

Not really likely that he wont get abused, I'm sure the press will stir it up, with a few snide comments thrown in by him.
Doubt he'll be able to help himself

Don't give him the satisfaction of thinking we care Dancer. He done what was needed, it was shit viewing but look where we are now with the leg up he gave us.
A gentle ripple of applause at the start followed by 90 minutes backing our own manager (something he never had) will frustrate him far more than us all going for him.
Show a bit of class and don't give the press ammunition to slag us off.

'How anyone can boo him is beyond me'
Yea, why boo a man that disrespected the club, the clubs traditions, the supporters, wasted a shit load of money and bored the pants off of all our fans and never took responsibility for anything (unless we won) Booing is the minimum the fat slob deserves.

Surely show some class like we used to, the West ham way. Polite applause , then you can stag him off. Do we have any class anymore, miss clapping in the away keeper every game.

Won't really have the same effect as when sung at Roeder.
